In order to be able to withstand the tough competition in the industry, well-trained personnel is important. It is also important to train and educate these specialists on a regular basis - especially in matters of occupational safety. However, there is often a lack of space for this - especially if the employees work in the production hall and not at their desks.

This is also the case with Meyer Werft, Europe's largest shipyard for cruise ships. Even before the current Corona crisis, the shipyard had hired more employees and increased shifts. New employees, who first had to be quickly registered and instructed in occupational safety in the very large production. Since this was to be done in the shortest possible time, the shipyard had a short-term need for a quick and reliable solution.

A problem that ELA Container was able to solve within a very short time thanks to its mobile spaces. One week after the enquiry, a two-storey container system consisting of nine ELA office containers was set up on the shipyard premises. The system was delivered with ELA's own trucks with loading crane, and then assembled on site, ready for use. In this way, a training centre was created, in which the new employees can report and be instructed in safety matters.

In addition to the fast delivery time, the equipment of the plant is also convincing. Large, bright and fully air-conditioned rooms with LED lighting allow concentrated work on the 20 training computers. Cable ducts installed in the containers cleverly hide the required EDP technology. With the help of flexible wall elements, a registration office was also built into the facility. Glass double doors and a separate waiting area offer the employees a friendly and open reception.

"My colleagues and I are very happy in the facility and feel comfortable. We were pleased to receive practical and comfortable offices so quickly. This makes our work much easier," says Irina Sinner, who works in the registration office at the training facility. "Meyer Werft is a long-standing customer, who repeatedly chooses ELA because of the quality and short delivery time. We are pleased that we were able to fully satisfy the customer's needs in this case as well", ELA Area Sales Manager Ralf Neelen knows.
